Olimpiade HIMARIS is a sports festival that is held annually and followed by the members of HIMARIS. This is an annual project of the Student interest and talent department (Departemen Minat dan Bakat) that was started in 2017 under the leadership of Januar Fitriyandi.

The creation of this project was inspired by the ancient Olympic Games. The ultimate goal of this project is to encourage English Department students’ talents in non-academic fields, such as sports and art. Besides, it aims to prepare the member of HIMARIS to become the representation in Pekan Olahraga Mahasiswa (POM) Politeknik Negeri Bandung. Olimpiade HIMARIS has four competition categories:

1. Art (Singing, dancing, and drawing)

2. Sports (Futsal, and Badminton)

3. E-Sports (Mobile Legends and Valorant)

4. Language Field (Writing poem, and Reading poetry)

This event may be beneficial for the HIMARIS members in many aspects. First, the members’ skills and talents in non-academic fields will get improved because HIMARIS always supervises and monitors the members in their training. Second, the members get an e-certificate if they win the competition. Third, the members will become the representation of HIMARIS in Pekan Olahraga Mahasiswa (POM) Politeknik Negeri Bandung.
