“To all members of HIMARIS, please gather at Tameng after the class is over.” This is probably the most heard announcement HIMARIS members get during their first year. Tameng (Taman English), located behind the C building, is the most frequent place HIMARIS members visit to do their activities, such as Kuhim (Kumpul Himpunan) and Brainstorming.

Reaching the location is not too difficult because Tameng is only 350 meters from Polban front gate. It is not a huge place; the width is only 5 x 15 meters but is enough to accommodate 50 – 60 people. The place is covered with short-cut grass and accommodated with a long cement chair near the stairs heading to the engineering building. Besides, it is surrounded by many tall, big trees which make the air fresh and cold. It feels very relaxing.

Tameng is usually not very crowded. So, it is pretty comforting. There are several other activities the HIMARIS members do at Tameng besides discussing and brainstorming about the HIMARIS projects, for example, playing mini-games, sharing sessions with seniors, buddy bonding, and studying together during the exam period.
